investing in your careThe Cost of Therapy
Choosing therapy is a real commitment of your time, your energy, and your money. We think you deserve to know exactly what that looks like.
At Soulful Bloom, we keep our rates transparent and our process personal. Whether you're coming in on your own, with a partner, or with your family, you'll find everything you need right here. And if you still have questions, we're happy to talk them through with you.
It worksWhy it’s worth it
Therapy is an investment, and it's fair to wonder what you'll get from it. What we've seen in our work is that people rarely leave with just an hour of talking. They leave understanding why they react the way they do. They argue less and repair faster. They sleep better, set boundaries they used to avoid, and stop carrying things that were never theirs to hold.
Those changes follow you into your relationships, your work, and your family, now and for generations to come.
Your EXPERIENCE mattersWhy Self-Pay
We don't take insurance, and we get that it can be frustrating to hear. It wasn't an easy decision, but it is the right one for us and our clients.
For insurance to cover therapy, you usually need a diagnosis. Then the insurance company gets a say in how often you come and when they think you're done. We're not comfortable with an insurance company making those calls about your care.
When you pay directly, what you share stays with your therapist. You can come in for a hard season or a relationship that needs some attention, and that's enough. You don't have to fit a label or diagnosis first.
It's hard on therapists too. Filing claims takes hours of paperwork, and after all that, insurance often pays a fraction of what the session costs. That isn't fair to our clients or our clinicians. We'd rather put that time and energy into the people we're here to support.
We know therapy is a significant investment, so we try to make it work for as many people as we can. That's why we have a range of rates, and why we have options to help you use the benefits you already have.
You can still use your benefits. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, we can give you a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA cards.
Not sure what your plan covers? Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits.
ongoing therapy ratesWhy we offer a range of rates
We believe access to healing and quality support shouldn't depend on how much money someone has. And we know that access to money isn't equal. It's shaped by things like race, family history, disability, gender, and the opportunities people have or haven't been given. Many of the communities we serve have been priced out of mental health care for generations, and a single fixed rate would keep that cycle going.
That's why we offer a full range of rates including a a sliding scale. People with more financial privilege pay closer to our standard rate, which helps make lower rates possible for people with less. It's an equitable and collective approach to care.
There's no application and no proof of income required. We trust you to be honest about the financial season you’re in.
first stepYou don't have to have it all figured out to begin.
We start with a consultation. You tell us what brought you here, we tell you how we work, and you decide from there.
equitable & accessible options Sacrifice vs. Hardship
Paying for therapy might mean a sacrifice. You might cut back on dinners out, coffee runs, or new clothes for a while. It isn't always easy, but it won't hurt your life in the long run. Hardship is different. If paying for therapy would make it hard to cover groceries, rent, bills, or getting to work, that's hardship. Knowing which you’d have to manage will help you select the best financial option.
