Couples therapy in Nashville for relationships worth fighting for.

A dedicated space to explore your relationship with a trained professional who genuinely cares about you and your partner’s wellbeing.

The WORK

The Soulful Bloom Approach

Sometimes your relationship hits a point where the way you have been doing things stops working. The same argument keeps cycling. The distance between you has grown quiet and familiar. You love each other but lately that has not felt like enough.

Couples therapy at Soulful Bloom is not about keeping score or deciding who is right. It is about helping you both understand what is actually happening between you, where it comes from, and how to move through it together.

who we see

Who seeks couples therapy?

Couples come to therapy at all different stages. You do not have to be at a breaking point to benefit from this work. You might recognize your relationship in some of these:

  • You keep having the same argument and it never actually resolves

  • The emotional or physical distance between you has grown and you do not know how to fix it

  • Something has happened that has shaken the trust of your relationship and you’re not sure how to rebuild

  • You're navigating a major life transition and it is putting pressure on the relationship

  • You want to be more intentional about how you show up for each other

  • Things are not bad but they are not what you want them to be either

Your Therapy Journey

What to expect

Session Structure

Couples sessions are 50 minutes with the initial session being 90 minutes. Sessions are typically held weekly, though frequency may shift depending on where you are in the work. We will check in regularly about what is feeling useful and what needs to change.

Therapist Match

If you don't feel a connection with your therapist after 1-2 sessions, we can facilitate a match with a different therapist within our practice or provide you with a referral.

Your Pace

Some couples come in with one clear issue they want to work through. Others come in knowing something is off but not yet able to name it. Either way is welcome here. We will figure it out together and let the work lead us where it needs to go.

Confidentiality

What is shared in session stays in session. For couples therapy, we also have a clear policy around individual communication with your therapist outside of sessions. We will walk through that together before we start so there are no surprises and both of you feel grounded in the process.

Why couples therapy works

It interrupts the cycle

Most couples are not fighting about what they think they are fighting about. Therapy helps you slow down enough to see what is actually happening underneath the argument, the silence, or the distance, and gives you a different way to experience each other there. When you can see and understand the cycle, you can start to change it.

It creates a safe & supportive space for the hard conversations

Some things are too charged to talk about at home. Having a neutral, structured space where both of you feel safe enough to be honest changes what is possible in the conversation. Things that have been sitting unspoken finally have somewhere to land. And you build confidence in your ability to maintain that safe space beyond the therapy room.

It addresses both of you

You each bring your own history, your own patterns, your own way of protecting yourself into the relationship. Good couples therapy does not just address the presenting problem or amplify the loudest voice in the room. It makes room for both people fully.
