Relational and family therapy in Nashville for the relationships that shape us most.

A dedicated space to explore familial, friend, and other relationships with a trained professional who genuinely cares.

The WORK

The Soulful Bloom Approach

The relationships we are born into and the ones we choose, leave a mark. The family dynamics that never got resolved. The patterns that got passed down without anyone meaning to. The friendship that has carried you for years but is now at a breaking point.

Disconnections in these relationships are not small things. They live in us. And sometimes the only way forward is to bring the people who matter most into the room with you.

Family and relational therapy at Soulful Bloom creates space for the relationships in your life that are worth working on. To say what has been hard to say. To hear each other differently. To figure out what you actually want these relationships to look like going forward  and build toward that together.

who we see

Who seeks family therapy?

Relational and family therapy is for more than just families and friendships in constant conflict. It is for any significant relationship that matters enough to work on. You might recognize yourself here:

  • Your family keeps circling the same conflicts without resolution

  • A significant life event has shifted the dynamic and people are struggling to adjust

  • You're navigating a difficult transition together, a loss, a separation, a new chapter

  • Old roles and patterns in your family feel suffocating and you want something different

  • A friendship that matters deeply to you has changed and you’re having a hard time staying connected

  • You want to understand how your family shaped you and how to relate to one another differently going forward

Your Therapy Journey

What to expect

Session Structure

Family and relational sessions are 50 minutes with the initial session being 90 minutes.  Depending on the size of the group and the nature of the work, your therapist may also recommend individual sessions alongside the relational work. We will figure out the right structure together.

Therapist Match

If you don't feel a connection with your therapist after 1-2 sessions, we can facilitate a match with a different therapist within our practice or provide you with a referral.

Your Pace

Relational work moves at the pace of the most cautious person in the room. We do not push people to say more than they are ready to say. What we do is create the conditions where saying the true thing feels possible.

Confidentiality

In relational and family therapy, confidentiality works a little differently than it does in individual work. We will walk through our policies clearly at the start so that everyone in the room understands what is shared, what is held, and what the boundaries are.

Backed By Research

Why relational & family therapy works

It addresses the whole relationship, not just one individual

When one person in a family or relationship changes, everyone has to adjust. Family and relational therapy works with that reality instead of against it. Rather than trying to fix one person, we look at the dynamic between people and find where it needs to shift.

It gives everyone a voice

In relational therapy, no one person's experience is the only truth in the room. Everyone gets to speak. Everyone gets to be heard. That is often the thing that has been missing.

It changes what gets passed on and what cycles continue

The patterns that live in families, friendships, and other realtionships do not have to be permanent. When people can see them clearly, together, in a space where there is enough safety to be honest, something can actually change. Not just for now but for the long haul.
